About The Wind Up.

Your no-nonsense guide to time well spent.

At The Wind Up, we are all about the full spectrum of horology. From dependable Seiko daily wearers and standout microbrands, right through to the heavy hitters of mainstream luxury, we cover it all. Whether you are hunting value, exploring design, or eyeing your next serious purchase, you are in the right place.

Started by three UK based watch enthusiasts, Matt, Dan and Ben, The Wind Up began as a platform to enjoy and review our own collections. It has since grown into a space that keeps a close eye on the wider industry, from emerging independents to the established names shaping the market up to the five figure mark.

We are a UK based watch blog built for enthusiasts who care more about craftsmanship than clout. Expect honest reviews, considered guides, and the occasional deep dive into the weird and wonderful world of watches, all served with a bit of British wit and zero snobbery.
