About The Wind Up.

Your no-nonsense guide to time well spent.

Let’s be honest — not everyone’s got ten grand spare for a Rolex, and that’s perfectly alright.

Here at The Wind Up, we’re all about the thrill of horology without the terrifying price tags. Whether you’re rocking a reliable Seiko, hunting vintage bargains on eBay, or just want to chat about lume, bezels and banging micro brands — you’re in good company.

Started by three UK based watch enthusiasts, Matt, Dan and Ben, we wanted a platform to review and enjoy our own collections but also look at whats happening within the industry, specifically in the affordable end of the market.

We’re a UK-based watch blog built for enthusiasts who care more about craftsmanship than clout. Expect reviews, guides, and the occasional deep dive into the weird and wonderful world of watches — all served with a bit of British wit and zero snobbery.

So, strap in (pun intended). It’s time to get wound up!
