Benjamin James Scarifour Stone: Four Colours, Four Characters
Benjamin James has made a habit of thinking small—in the best possible way. With modest case proportions, carefully balanced design, and dials cut from natural materials, the brand’s Limited Production Stone collection shows just how much personality can be packed into 100 pieces a year. Four colourways headline the range, each one telling its own story.

Lapis Lazuli (£948)
Deep blue flecked with gold, lapis lazuli has been treasured since the time of the Pharaohs, and it translates beautifully onto a watch dial. The Scarifour’s rectangular 31 × 40 mm case frames the stone perfectly, giving it space to shine without overwhelming the wrist.
Up close, the lapis reveals tiny speckles, flashes of mineral sparkle, and subtle shifts in tone. This isn’t flat blue lacquer—it’s something alive, changing as the light hits it. The polished case edges play against the matte texture of the stone, making the watch feel more like jewellery than just a timekeeper. Yet with the Swiss Sellita SW210-1 hand-wound movement under the hood, it’s still practical and precise.

Burnt Orange Agate (£948)
If lapis is calm, burnt orange agate is energy. Warm, earthy, and bold, this dial turns the Scarifour into a statement piece. Agate’s layered tones give a sense of movement; sometimes fiery, sometimes mellow, always captivating.
On the wrist, the colour is surprisingly versatile. Against the brushed steel bracelet and thin case profile, it has presence without looking brash. The natural striations in agate mean no two dials are identical—you’re effectively wearing a one-off. For anyone tired of monotone dress watches, this brings a much-needed splash of character.

Green Jade (£948)
Jade carries centuries of symbolism—longevity, luck, and balance—and it feels right at home in the Scarifour. The dial is a soft, milky green, less dramatic than lapis or agate but every bit as striking once you see the light shift across its surface.
What stands out here is subtlety. The jade dial works beautifully for those who want individuality without shouting about it. The hand-wound Sellita keeps the case slim at just 8.3 mm, letting the jade take centre stage. It’s refined, balanced, and one of the most wearable pieces in the series for daily use.

Ice Blue Mother of Pearl (from £558)
The most accessible of the quartet, the Ice Blue MoP proves that “limited production” doesn’t always mean unaffordable. Mother of pearl is known for its iridescence, and here the ice blue treatment adds a cool, almost ethereal quality.
Depending on the light, it shimmers between pale silver, blue, and soft green. The rectangular proportions stop it from feeling too delicate; instead, it’s sleek and modern. Available at a lower entry price, it offers collectors a way into the Limited Production line while keeping the charm of a naturally unique dial.
Final Thought
Each Scarifour Stone feels like a different personality. The Lapis is regal and dramatic, the Burnt Orange is bold and fiery, the Green Jade is subtle and balanced, and the Ice Blue MoP is modern and ethereal. All share the same thoughtful proportions, sapphire crystal, and tactile hand-wound appeal, but each has its own mineral identity.
And with only 100 pieces per colour released annually, availability becomes part of the story. If one speaks to you, hesitation isn’t an option. This isn’t mass production; it’s limited by design.
The real question is: which element do you want on your wrist—stone, earth, luck, or light?
