Omega Teases A New James Bond Seamaster Diver 300M

James Bond fans, get your tuxedo pressed and your credit card warmed up. Omega appears to have another 007 watch up its sleeve, and this one has been hiding in plain sight.

A mysterious new Seamaster Diver 300M has appeared on Omega’s website under the rather revealing name James Bond Edition. The watch is listed as a new 42mm Seamaster Diver 300M with reference 210.30.42.20.03.004, although at the time of writing Omega has yet to publish an official image of the watch.

And that is where things get rather interesting.

The Spectre Is Back

Omega has seemingly left a few clues scattered around its website. Most notably, the familiar Omega logo has reportedly been seen glitching into the unmistakable SPECTRE octopus symbol, while references to the logo have also been discovered within the website’s code.

For anyone who has somehow avoided the last 60 years of James Bond, SPECTRE is the fictional criminal organisation that featured prominently during the Daniel Craig era, including the 2015 film of the same name.

Omega previously released the Seamaster 300 SPECTRE Limited Edition in 2015, so bringing the symbol back now is unlikely to be an accidental bit of website housekeeping.

A Familiar Seamaster

While we have not yet seen the new watch itself, Omega’s product listing gives us rather a lot to work with.

The new James Bond Edition measures 42mm in diameter, with a 50mm lug to lug measurement and a thickness of 14.23mm. The case is made from stainless steel and the watch is rated to 300 metres of water resistance.

The dial is listed as blue aluminium, while the configuration is described as steel on steel. The listed weight of approximately 157 grams also suggests that this could be fitted with a lighter mesh style bracelet rather than the heavier solid link bracelet used on some standard Seamaster Diver 300M models.

There is also a sapphire crystal and an exhibition caseback, meaning there should be something worth looking at when you flip the watch over.

Casino Royale Connection?

One of the more intriguing theories doing the rounds is that the watch could commemorate the 20th anniversary of Casino Royale, which arrives in 2026.

Released in 2006, Casino Royale introduced Daniel Craig as James Bond and also marked his first appearance wearing an Omega Seamaster. That makes a blue Seamaster Diver 300M particularly appropriate for a 20th anniversary celebration.

However, Omega has not officially confirmed that this is a Casino Royale anniversary edition, so for now that remains firmly in speculation territory.

What we do know is that the new reference is officially labelled James Bond Edition, rather than simply being another standard Seamaster variant.

What About The Movement?

Omega’s listing currently confirms the watch as a Seamaster Diver 300M, but the complete movement information has not yet been made public through the product page.

Given the existing 42mm Diver 300M collection, we would expect Omega’s Master Chronometer technology to feature, although we will have to wait for the official announcement before putting our money on the exact calibre.

And yes, we know what you are thinking.

Fourteen point two three millimetres thick is not exactly Daniel Craig in Casino Royale territory when it comes to subtlety.

Another Bond Watch Already?

This is where things get particularly interesting.

Omega has already released a 007 related Seamaster in 2026. The Seamaster Diver 300M Chronograph 007 First Light was created for IO Interactive’s 007 First Light video game and became the first chronograph in the James Bond Seamaster Diver 300M family. It measures 44mm and uses Omega’s Co Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 9900.

So why another Bond watch so soon?

The answer could simply be timing. 2026 marks two decades since Casino Royale, while the annual James Bond Day takes place on 5 October. There are already signs that Omega is preparing something for the occasion, with reports of boutique events surrounding the new watch.

When Will We See It?

That is the million pound question.

Omega has effectively put the watch on the internet without actually showing us the watch. The product page is live, the reference number is visible and the James Bond Edition designation is there, but the photographs remain conspicuously absent.

With James Bond Day arriving on 5 October, however, it would be a fairly safe bet that we will not have to wait much longer.

Whether this becomes a full Casino Royale anniversary piece, a new SPECTRE edition or something completely unexpected remains to be seen.

Either way, Omega appears to have started the Bond marketing machine early.

And frankly, if there is one thing Omega and 007 know how to do, it is keep us looking at our watches while waiting for the next one.

Winding Things Up

Omega has not yet given us the full reveal, but the clues are already piling up.

We have a new 42mm Seamaster Diver 300M, a blue aluminium dial, stainless steel construction, the reference 210.30.42.20.03.004 and an official James Bond Edition designation. Then there is that rather unsubtle SPECTRE connection.

The timing is equally curious, with James Bond Day just around the corner and Casino Royale celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2026.

So while we cannot tell you exactly what the new Bond Seamaster looks like yet, we can tell you one thing.
