Looking for a microbrand with real celestial swagger? Meet Loresum, a UK‑born outfit on a quest to bring artful horology to those of us dazzled by the moon, stars… and affordability. Their secret sauce? Bespoke complications and aesthetics that feel bespoke, not budget.

Brand Story & Core Ethos

  • Designed in the UK, built with care between Hong Kong and the UK

  • Modules include moonphase (true and double), regulator, jumping‑hour—crafted in‑house, not off‑the‑shelf

  • They name‑check the golden ratio in their LS02, backing stylistic flair with mathematical precision

Despite luxe materials like aventurine, mother‑of‑pearl and Swiss modules, they edge in at prices around £600–£1,400, with Kickstarter deals touted as a quarter the cost of Christopher Ward pieces.

Fan Reactions

Very high end micro brand… par with top manufactures… gold moon contrasted against deep rich blackness… a stunner.

My watch comes with the Miyota 9015… Overall it’s a very nice piece, great finishing and dial details.

The Creator: Jason Chan

Jason Chan, founder and lead designer at Loresum, brings extensive expertise across every facet of watch design. He’s especially skilled in the technical art of watchmaking and is known for developing innovative, unconventional time-telling systems.

His journey began in December 2017 with the launch of his first brand, JW Watch. Thanks to his vision and dedication, the brand quickly carved out a niche in the watchmaking world. His debut models, JW-01 and JW-02, remain sold out—testament to their lasting appeal. After this initial success, Jason joined the Behrens Original design team, where he contributed to several of their models. Collaborating with an experienced development team allowed him to deepen his knowledge of mechanical design and refine his work with premium-grade modules.
