Nomadic Watches Celebrate St Patrick’s Day With The Launch Of The Limited-Edition Black Shamrock Collection

Each March, Nomadic Watches marks St Patrick’s Day in its own unmistakable way. For 2026, the Belfast based independent returns with the Black Shamrock collection, introducing the Black Shamrock Céad 126 alongside a refreshed Black Shamrock Maraí 401. If previous years are anything to go by, you will need quick fingers. Earlier Black Shamrock editions disappeared online in seconds.

The shamrock is woven into the fabric of Irish identity, yet its origin story still carries weight. In the 5th century, Saint Patrick is said to have used the three leaves to explain the Holy Trinity. It is a symbol of faith, unity and national pride, and here it takes centre stage once more.

Black Shamrock Céad 126

The Céad 126 arrives with a stealthy black dial contrasted by rich green subdials, striking the balance between celebration and restraint. Turn the watch over and a shamrock adorned rotor comes into view, while a leather strap with black and green stitching ties the theme together neatly.

There is more than colour at play. The day and date complication has been reworked, with the days now displayed in Irish. And in a detail collectors will appreciate, the 17th of the month is marked with a shamrock in honour of St Patrick’s Day. It is thoughtful, proudly local and just a little bit different.

Black Shamrock Maraí 401

The Maraí 401 returns in its familiar 40 mm case and, for the first time, a new 36 mm option broadens its appeal. The formula is confident: black dial, green bezel and that now signature shamrock rotor. The date window replaces the 17th with a shamrock, while a harp motif sits proudly at 12 o’clock.

That harp is no ordinary flourish. It is Nomadic’s interpretation of Belfast’s iconic shipyard cranes fused with a traditional Celtic harp, rendered with a clean, modern edge. A symbol of strength and unity, and a subtle nod to home.

This updated Maraí 401 also benefits from refined bezel fonts, refreshed hands and a repositioned date at 6 o’clock, giving the dial a more balanced, contemporary feel.
